What’s the audition process like?

Auditions are pretty straightforward- we ask that you sing some scales, complete some vocal exercises with our group, and prepare the verse and chorus of a song of your choosing.

When are auditions?

Auditions for this upcoming 2018-2019 school year will be held on Wednesday, August 29th at night! Please make sure you come to the general a cappella info session that will be held in the lobby of Booker Hall at 7 pM on Monday, August 27th. You can sign up there for a time slot there or email @rebecca.rohn@richmond.edu for questions about scheduling an audition!

What kind of music do you sing?

We sing everything and anything, from rock to alternative to pop to hip hop! We choose songs based on how well they can be adapted into a cappella and how much we love them; we're not simply focused on just what's popular at the moment.

Do you do a cappella tours or compete?

Off the Cuff knows that its members are involved in tons of other activities and commitments on campus and are well-rounded students, which means that we are all pretty busy most of the time. Due to this we don't compete or go on tours, but we are more than willing to welcome other a cappella groups who are touring onto campus and sing with them.

When's your next album coming out?

We released a new album, Cuffing Season, in May 2018! You can check it out on Spotify, Apple Music, and any other music streaming service. Listen on Spotify here: https://open.spotify.com/album/364iz3rGdKWdqI8knz5s1Z?si=o9KoTwQ9Q72AdS-CrrFRZQ
